Inside MBR Acres: breeding thriving dogs for research
MBR Acres is a facility that breeds dogs for scientific, medical, and veterinary research in the UK. In this video, we take a look around their facility and explore the reasons why dogs are used in research.
The majority of the human and animal medicines we have available today have been developed using dogs. Although dogs only account for 0.2% of all animal experiments in the UK, their use is essential to scientific, medical, and veterinary research.

Why are opossums used in medical & scientific research?
Переглядів 892 місяці тому
Did you know that opossums are used to study the development of organs in the body? Opossums are rarely used in scientific research but they still play an important role in developmental studies. This is because they are born at a similar stage to a 6-week-old human foetus. For more information, please visit our website. www.understandinganimalresear... You fu**ing liars!!! You breed them JUST to experiment on them. The science is not present in a community of narcissistic abuse. Empathy and humanity need to weigh in.....right? "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated". Gandhi

    We 'reuse animals'. Animals aren't products or materials to be 'used'. If you want to find cures for humans, use humans, don't use poor animals that can't comprehend or consent to what is happening. This is abuse.

    Interesting how this channel never shows the actual experimentation it carries out or the state of the animals afterwards. It'd probably be banned from UA-cam for gore and violence.

    What is that the animal has got in his head

    • @animalevidence
      @animalevidence 2 місяці тому

      These are cranial implants or headposts. Cranial implants are required for monkeys which are used in some neurological research. The implants serve a dual purpose, providing easy access to the brain if needed, and providing a safe and low-stress method of stabilising the position of the monkey's head.

    I don't think animal testing should occur except in very narrow circumstances and for very, very important reasons. I read somewhere we still put mice in pipes and blow smoke or carbon monoxide or something at them for hours. I just think there is a fair amount of this testing that doesn't really need to happen.

      While they indeed implanted the egg into the surrogate sheep via IVF, the lamb that was born (dolly) was completely genetically identical to the older dolly whose DNA they extracted and implanted into the donor egg, so for lack of a better word, they did “clone” her

    This is horrible, using animals in research I am totally against, you use horses too, I've seen the real footage of terrified animals flipping over in the metal crushes and handlers beating animals and attempting to break their legs, huge catheters being stabbed over and over trying to find veins for blood products. This footage you show does not even begin to resemble the footage I have seen, this is a pro-vivisection propaganda video that is misleading the general public! Shame on you!!!

    This is kinda why I feel like we as people weren't meant to be alive. We as people are so weak compared to other animals that we have to harm other living creatures in order for us to be alright. I hope once we advance in technology more that animal testing will decrease, its just wrong to risk a life to save a life. These pups might be well cared for, but in many other labs they are not.n
